GTQ Competition Day

In each of the five countries we visit, we will have a Competition Day. 20 teams of 2 competitors and our "Reality TV's Ultimate Stars" teams will be given a set of clues on the morning of the competition day to where the treasure is hidden. The first team to solve enough clues, team challenges and contests, dares, trivia and scavenger hunt-type tasks to find the treasure box and unlock it, wins the 1st place treasure. To receive additional clues that get more specific in finding the treasure, each team will be able to participate in “country challenges” that once correctly finished, offer them an additional advantage that gets their team closer to the treasure. There is also a hidden advantage a team can find during the "Adventure Day" and the "Impact Day." Each additional clue and advantage gets teams closer and closer to the hidden treasure box, with the final clue putting them in very close proximity. Then, it's an all out hunt until teams find the treasure box.

Each team will carry a phone and once the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place “treasure” is found, all teams will be called/texted that the treasure hunt is over for that country. The final evening, after the competition, we will have a “Commissioning of Prizes” dinner, where we will announce the winners and give out the prizes as well as a "GTQ Advantage" to the first-place team to be used during the final country event and the quest to find the treasure chest, win the $50,000 prize, and be crowned the Global Treasure Quest Champions™.

Inside the Treasure Chest

The treasure chest is about the size of a toaster (18" x 8" x 8") and will be locked and hidden somewhere unique in each country and inconspicuously guarded by one of our national contacts on the day of the competition. It will be locked, and each team must win the "key" by performing a "key task" at the beginning of each competition day in each country.

There are three golden tickets inside the treasure chest: 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place.

1st Place: The first team to find the treasure chest takes the 1st-place golden ticket and receives $1,000 each in cash and prizes as well as an additional “GTQ Advantage” that can be used during the final quest of the "$50,000 Ultimate Treasure".

2nd Place: The second team to find the treasure chest takes the 2nd-place golden ticket and receives $500 each in cash and prizes.

3rd Place: The third team to find the treasure chest takes the 3rd-place golden ticket and receives $250 each in cash and prizes.

The Final Quest...winning the $50,000 Ultimate Treasure

Each team has a chance to become the Global Treasure Quest Champions and share the Ultimate Treasure of $50,000 on the FINAL leg of the trip in the 5th and LAST country we visit. Some teams will just have a better advantage! In the first of the 4 countries we visit, the team that wins in that country receives a 1st place prize as well as an "Advantage" to be used during the Final Quest in the last country. During the Adventure and Impact days, there will be opportunities to earn/or find "Advantages" to be used during The Final Quest as well.
