GTQ Competition Days

 

The Global Treasure Quest™ will kick off with an event reception in Miami. Individual will arrive at a designated hotel (TBD) to check in, get situated, receive their laminates and number, and start the event entry process. While you are staying at the hotel, there will be certain rules that we need you to adhere to while under our care, and as part of the entry process to the competition.

You will be taking part in a number of activities (video interviews, individual photos, etc.,) while at the hotel, which are a necessary part of the check-in process in preparation for entering the Global Treasure Quest™ competition. They have been put into an itinerary which you will receive at check-in.

 

Prior to check-in, you should have already received:

• All country CDC vaccination information

• GTQ luggage tags with your team name and number​

Global Treasure Quest™ Competition Overview

​

Are you ready to ditch that routine of vacation tourism that can become so predictable? GTQ has a bit of everything, from off-the-beaten-path travel, an exciting and competitive treasure quest in and around the city, prizes, some "give back" opportunities to make a real impact in the places we visit, and a chance to win $10,000 and be crowned the Global Treasure Quest Champion™.

20 Individual teams will be given a set of clues on the morning of the competition day to where the treasure is hidden. The first person to solve enough clues, team challenges and contests, dares, trivia and scavenger hunt-type tasks to find the treasure box and unlock it, wins the 1st place treasure. The Treasure Quest will pretty much take length of the trip to find and will take many solved clues and advantages to pinpoint the location of the Treasure Box. We will add in Adventure Days and Impact Days throughout the GTQ and "hidden" advantages will be always be in the mix!  To receive additional advantages that get more specific in finding the treasure, each person will be able to participate in “challenges” that once correctly finished, offer them an additional advantage that gets them closer to the treasure. Each additional advantage gets the person closer and closer to the hidden treasure box, eventually putting them in very, very close proximity. Then, it's an all out hunt until someone finds the hidden treasure box.

 

Each person will carry a phone and once the “treasure” is found, everyone will be called/texted that the treasure hunt is over. The final evening, after the competition concludes, we will have a “Commissioning of Prizes” dinner, where we will announce the winner of the $10,000 prize and be crowned the Global Treasure Quest Champion™.

Inside the Treasure Chest

 

The treasure chest is about the size of a toaster and will be locked and hidden somewhere unique in each country and inconspicuously guarded by one of our national contacts during the competition. It will be locked, and each team must win the "key" by performing a "key task" at the beginning of the competition.

There is a golden ticket inside the treasure chest that you will bring to us in exchange for real cash...and there may be some other little mystery prizes in there as well.

1st Place: The first person to find the treasure chest takes the 1st-place golden ticket and receives the $10,000 Ultimate Treasure and crowned the Global Treasure Quest Champion™.

Global Treasure Quest™ Team Entry Requirements

​

• Total cost per person: $5,900 entry fee.

• Deposit: $500 per person (part of the total cost)

• The GTQ competition has 20 individuals competing for the Ultimate Treasure

• Valid passport for travel with enough passport pages for the entire competition

• After registration, all mandatory forms must be signed and completed

• Must be over 18

Global Treasure Quest™ Competition Specifics

Global Treasure Quest™ is a challenging and exciting global adventure competition that involves various aspects, including language barriers, cultural diversity, logistical hurdles, competition pressure, and creative problem-solving.

• Language Obstacles: Individuals may encounter language barriers while traveling to different countries. This could include difficulties in communicating with locals, reading signs and directions, or understanding customs and traditions due to language differences.

• Competition Pressure: The competitive aspect adds a layer of pressure. Each person is racing against each other to solve clues, complete challenges and dares, pivot when hitting a dead-end, and finish scavenger-type hunts within the given time frame in the quest to find the treasure chest.

• Limited Participation: The event is limited to 20 participants. This limited number of participants ensures greater odds at winning and a more personalized and exclusive experience.

• All-Inclusive Entry Fee: The $5,900 per person entry fee covers a comprehensive range of services and expenses, making it a hassle-free adventurous competition. These inclusions include:
